I have an idea but I need some advice. I want to focus on the issue of the NHS not being able to supply terminally ill patients with drugs that could help with the pain and prolong any critical effects due to not having the funding. This is an issue close to my heart because my mum suffers from Rheumatiod Arthritis and she has been suffering from it for nearly ten years now. The hospital have refused to give her a new drug that could potentially help with her pain because there are "worse" cases than her and it is very expensive. I have very strong views about this.
There have also been articles in the papers and on the news about this.
Is this a strong enough ethical issue to research about for this project?

i think this is a good case to research, one that is topical and also close to you which can help. i'd (try) and find a counter argument though, else the work will end up being a rant about how 'bad' the NHS is. could it be an unbiased retrospective of the history of the NHS: ethical mistakes and ethical triumphs? they have recently celebrated 60 years of existence (i think its 60...) so again its current. try and show two sides to a story through the stamps as that will allow the reader / target audience make up their own mind who to believe. keep your thoughts on the blog and hopefully others will contribute.
